Sometimes you seel ittle things that maybe no one or everyone notices; and it teaches you a thing or two about life.
I learnt that just because you're smart and intelligent; doesn't make you free from the traps of illegal, stupid actions like drugs. You can be the eldest; the smartest in the family among your siblings; but you may end up the criminal.
But then again; just because you were once an addict doesn't mean you can't repent and get your life back on track. Among the many siblings you may be ex-criminal; the addict; but it doesn't mean you'll forever stay that way. Your past; whatever it may have been is only a stepping stone leading to where your next step may be. In the end you may end up more alim or religious than the rest of your "good" siblings. In the end; the Forgiver may jolly well accept you more willingly than the rest of your siblings.
It all takes sincerity, unselfishness; the willingness to change and make changes. And whoever said you can do it alone? Acceptance starts right from not only yourself; but your loved ones. Family support and love goes a looooong way in helping you get back on track. Your spouse, children (if you're married), siblings and parents should be the first people to pave the way for you and give you the opportunities to be a better man or woman.
In short; I witnessed a very heartwarming incident that occured few days back. It put a smile on my face.
